SBC Public Relations Event Makes Big Splash in Big Apple

Columbus, OH (January 16, 2006) – All SBC Advertising recently orchestrated an extremely successful New York City event on behalf of a client, Armstrong Building Products, the category leader in residential ceiling design. The success of the event was based on the agency's ability to impact its client's business by increasing industry and product awareness.

SBC Advertising developed Armstrong's Project Michelangelo initiative to showcase the client's new and existing decorative ceiling products at an exclusive showroom event. The Michelangelo Design Council, comprised of four well-known interior design experts and one master ceiling installer, was carefully chosen by SBC and Armstrong to serve as the premier industry and media resource for decorative ceiling products and design trends.

According to Bill Vaughn, Residential Marketing Manager for Armstrong's Ceiling Division, "We were thrilled with the success of the Project Michelangelo event. SBC really showcased their ability to think strategically and creatively. With their help, we hosted an event that allowed us to share our products in an intimate setting with the most influential media outlets in our industry."

SBC secured appointments with more than 15 top media outlets such as Woman's Day, Country Living and RedBook. The agency has confirmed coverage with top shelter publications that will result in millions of consumer impressions.

SBC ensured that attendees of the event had the opportunity to experience Armstrong's comprehensive line of ceiling products in custom room scenes created by the highly reputable interior designers of the Council. Attending media were able to spend more than an hour with each design expert at their respective vignettes.

"This event was a tremendous success for Armstrong, the Council and SBC. We were able to showcase Armstrong's products and demonstrate how they can be used in a wide variety of design styles," said Eric Cohler, President, Eric Cohler Design, Inc. and one of the Council members.
