SBC Advertising Wins Two New Accounts

Columbus, OH (August 19, 2005) – SBC Advertising has been appointed as the agency of record for both AAA Ohio Auto Club and Ferrellgas, a propane company serving more than one million customers in all 50 states.

AAA Ohio Auto Club chose SBC after conducting an extensive search for advertising firms. As the advertising Agency of Record, SBC will provide comprehensive strategic marketing direction and specifically handle AAA Ohio Auto Club's print, radio and television media planning and buying, as well as creative development.

AAA has long held a significant share of the market, but recent market research indicates that the organization is poised to extend its membership base. AAA has set an aggressive goal to reach a club membership mark of one million in Ohio.

"We felt strongly that we needed an agency with proven consumer expertise to help our brand reach its full potential and SBC was the ideal partner with a track record of significantly impacting their clients' business," said Kent Rambo, AAA Ohio vice president of marketing.

As a primary strategy, SBC is launching a statewide TV and radio campaign called "There's Only One Way," which will emphasize AAA's membership benefits for potential members. The campaign has a dual purpose of educating existing members about the comprehensive suite of travel services, as well as the lesser known offerings in Ohio, such as insurance and financial services.

SBC was also awarded the account for Ferrellgas, one of the nation's leading marketers of residential and retail propane. Ferrellgas will rely on SBC to provide direct marketing and branding support on a national level. SBC's proven success with Blue Rhino - the category leader in the propane tank exchange industry and a subsidiary of Ferrellgas - led to this big win for the agency. "We excel at building strategic marketing programs for homeowner-related products. Our campaign will be focused on refining the propane sell-in process through targeted outreach to the residential market," said Matt Wilson, general manager of SBC.
